Because of the enthusiasm generated by The
Maltese Falcon book discussion and movie, we have decided
to follow the same format for To Kill a Mockingbird by
Harper Lee. Here is an opportunity to read or reread a wonderful
novle, join an informat discussion, and see the movie. The discussion
will be held on Tuesday, May 20th, and the movie on Wednesday,
May 21st. both programs will begin at 7 PM. Books are available
at the library.
The Friends of the Library had an organizational
meeting on May 1st which was very successful. If you were not
contacted or couldn't attend, please call the library so that
you will be included for the next meeting.
The kindergartens from the Morristown Elementary
School have been making their annual visit to the library. It
is always a pleasure to introduce the children to the library
and encourage them to visit especially in the summer when the
school libraries are closed.
This week my list of new arrivals isn't books,
but movies most of which are book based. They are Away from
Her, Atonement, House of Sand and Fog, The Inpsector Lynley
Mysteris (set 5),, The Namesake, High School Musical 2, Hairspray,
Into the Wild, No Country for Old Men, Beowulf, The Kite Runner,
The Colden Compass, and Charlie Wilson's War.
