The addition now sports a covered roof and some windows. Any contributions will help the work to continue.

The first session of the summer book discussion featured the young adult novel "Unwind". The book evoked spirited discussion on abortion, religion, fanaticism, organ harvesting, etc. The next discussion will be August 4th. The book is "Twisted" by Laurie Anderson and is available at the library.

Many people are unaware of our music CD collection. We have almost 200 classical music recordings that may be borrowed from the library.

On Tuesday, August 3rd, the "Anything Food" group will be visiting Sherlock Terry's garden in North Hyde Park. If you would like to join in, call the library at 888-3853 for details.

Thoughts of food always brings to mind cookbooks and we have three new ones - "The Art of Mexican Cooking" by Kennedy, "Chinese Cooking for Dummies" by Yan, and "Mastering the Art of Chinese Cooking" by Yin-Fei Lo.

Other new books include "A Dog's Purpose" by Cameron, "The Rembrandt Affair" by Silva, "Elegies for the Brokenhearted" by Hodgen, "Corduroy Mansions" by McCall Smith, "100+ Baby Shower Games " by Wai, and "The Complete Compost Gardening Guide" by Pleasant.
