teen advisory Board

The Teen Advisory Board is open to teens who want to play an active role in the library. Our upcoming TAB meeting is on Tuesday, April 4 at 3:30. Joining us is Avalon Styles-Ashley, Education/Outreach Coordinator and Advocate at Clarina Howard Nichols Center in Morrisville, which strives to end domestic and sexual violence in Lamoille County via direct service advocacy, outreach, and emergency shelter, and a 24-hour hotline. Avalon works with youth in schools, talking about healthy relationships, consent, feelings - all that good stuff- and she wants to hear from you: What does a "healthy relationship" look like to you? How do you comfort a friend in crisis? Do you have any questions about consent - what it really means, what the law says, how to practice until it's not awkward? And what kinds of related issues do you want to know more about? Please email Youth Services Librarian Rachel Funk for more information about the Teen Advisory Board and other teen programs.
